Crescent's commitment to building Men of Character from Boys of Promise is a tradition that runs deep. For over a century, we have been dedicated to helping boys learn about who they are, how they can lead, and discover the legacy they can leave behind.
We are a school where character development is a responsibility that rests with every member of our community. We are a community that encourages our boys to expand their perspectives, be challenged in their beliefs, learn from each other, and actively mature and grow.
Our teachers, coaches, mentors and staff model good character each day and build strong relationships with students, making sure that each of them feels known, cared for and has a sense of belonging. We infuse character education into everything we do to ensure our students have the skills they need to thrive as men of character.
Parents play a vital role in shaping the moral character of their children. As a child’s first teacher, parents lay the foundation for ethical behaviour and decision-making by modelling upstanding character. This is why the partnership between parents and Crescent School is so fundamental. Crescent’s core values of respect, responsibility, honesty, and compassion are best achieved when there is synergy between what we endorse at school and what is practiced at home. We know that the path to character is not always linear. Shared values between home and school allow our boys to grow within a predictable and supportive environment so as to develop into young men with character.
This Handbook provides an overview of school life and school policies relating to behavioural and academic expectations. Every member of our community has a responsibility to uphold the content of the Family Handbook. Our school mission is a shared endeavour.
