The standards for promotion from grade to grade in the Upper School are:
Academic
-
An overall average of 60% or better with no failures. (One failure may be made up at summer school; two or more failures will ordinarily require that a student leave the School.)
-
The student is committed to the process of his education (regular completion of assigned work, generally sound organization skills, and engagement in the life of the classroom and school community.)
Character
-
A clear understanding of Crescent School’s core values and a consistent, sincere attempt to model them. No major conduct issue requiring formal consequences, nor a pattern of less serious but ongoing issues on record.
-
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn from mistakes.
