Why Give?
We are proud to say that 100% of Crescent School’s operating budget is covered by tuition. But while tuition covers the cost of school operations, charitable gifts provide the much-needed support for new facilities, enhancements to our signature academic programs and Student Financial Aid.
At Crescent, gifts from current and past parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty and staff, students, and friends collectively make a profound difference, enriching the experience of every boy in our care.
Our beautiful campus and the exceptional facilities our boys enjoy today are all thanks to the generosity of previous generations of donors. These transformative learning spaces include Innes Field (featuring its air-supported dome), the Lau Family Wing, the Latifi Family Commons, the Margaret Donnelly Lower School Library, and the Middle/Upper School Library. Donations are also used for programmatic enhancements such as Student Financial Aid, Crescent Student Services, Outreach, and Robotics.
In May 2024, Crescent launched Our Way Forward, an ambitious $65 million campaign to support the future of our school. The campaign aims to fund the creation of a new community hall, a more accessible Lower and Middle School entrance, a dynamic student commons, and an expanded endowment for Student Financial Assistance. Funds raised through this initiative enabled the acquisition of the Bob Rumball Centre—a 7-acre property adjacent to the north end of our campus, earmarked for future expansion.
