Severe Thunderstorm/Lightning

Severe thunderstorm/lightning can occur without notice or warning and can create dangerous situations.

Procedures:

Daytime (weekdays), and Evenings/Weekends/Holidays:

Stay indoors with your students and extended Crescent family, renters and guests. and do not go outside unless absolutely necessary
Anyone outside should go indoors immediately (anywhere, except the field house)
Close and stay away from doors and windows
Save all work and turn off computer, if possible. Power surges from lightning may damage equipment
If the power goes out, please see PLANT EMERGENCY (power outage)
In the event of an injury or life-threatening situation call 9-1-1
1. Call 9-1-1 if
  1. Medical treatment is required
  2. The symptoms may be life-threatening
