Professional Development
Our teachers attend conferences and seminars to support diversity education, address implicit bias and empower faculty and student leaders. Faculty-led panel discussions with our Student Alliance groups help our teachers understand the lived experience of our diverse student body.
We arrange staff education workshops and bring in speakers such as Rachael Flores, an expert on diversity, inclusion, and multicultural pedagogy. Crescent is working with Brian Carwana, Executive Director of Encounter World Religions. Mr. Carwana educates faculty and staff about the religious traditions, practices and beliefs of students to nurture a culture of belonging in our classrooms and school and dismantle unconscious bias.
