ABOUT CCBE: Fostering a community of inquiry to inform our teaching practice
About the CCBE
The CCBE exists to enhance the knowledge, skills and character strengths required by our educators and boys.
There are four areas of focus for our research:
Character
Well-being
Three Pedagogies: Active, Experiential and Relational
Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging
In each of these areas, Crescent has curated and continues to foster advancement in each of these domains by creating a research culture that asks of itself the following:
What research questions do we need to ask?
How do the answers we find inform our practice and benefit the education of boys?
How will the Community of Inquiry and Research Culture support Crescent’s Professional Competencies?
It is our goal to enhance Crescent School’s mission of “Men of Character from Boys of Promise,” by implementing our research findings within our School, and by making these findings available to others both locally and globally.
