Embrace Your Values to Find Your Purpose

Head Boy Jackson Rosenhek ’25 spoke to the school community at the first full-school assembly on September 26 about how he has grown over his years at Crescent, and what helped to guide him along the way.

Speaking “from the heart,” Rosenhek spoke about being nervous when he first came to Crescent as a ninth grader. “I was terrified that I wouldn’t fit in, that I’d be forced into a mold,” he said. “I can tell you that my favourite thing about Crescent is that it’s not a place where you are told who to be; it’s a place where you learn who you are, (and where you are) appreciated and supported by the family of young men and adults around you.”

What helped him learn who he is, says Rosenhek, was embracing his school community and his values. “As you embrace them, little by little, you’ll start to discover who you are and what you stand for.” These words led him to reveal the 2024–2025 prefect motto, Embrace Your Values to Find Your Purpose.
