Open to students in Grades 10 to 12

Approximate cost: $7,300–$8,500, based on a minimum of 15 students

Life-changing experiences that develop global perspectives within students and enhances academic portfolios.

This trip is an "impact expedition." Crescent Students will develop new mindsets through opportunities to develop cultural sensitivity, teamwork, positive mental health and self-confidence skills. The trip includes visiting iconic destinations in Cape Town, South Africa, and observing stunning natural resources, landscapes, and vibrant multicultural sites. The focus of this trip is to work with community organizations to develop a sustainable and equitable future for the betterment of the communities that they serve. Crescent Students will develop and tap into their leadership skills to witness and collaborate with local leaders in working towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals associated with this trip.

Highlights:
  • Tour the coast of Cape Town and visit some key iconic sites such as Simonstown, Cape Point and Hout Bay. 
  • Participate in sustainable farming/sports workshops and coastal/penguin conservation efforts
  • Take a Xhosa language lesson
  • Try a cooking class in Bo Kaap
