Academics
Crescent School provides a rigorous academic program within a highly supportive environment. It is important to us that every student has the opportunity to succeed in a program that not only provides access to a wide range of highly selective university programs, but more importantly, provides the necessary preparation to thrive once admitted.
Crescent follows - or exceeds - the expectations of the Ministry of Education for Ontario. Crescent School is accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education and the CAIS (Canadian Accredited Independent Schools) . Upon graduation, our students are awarded the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Crescent provides a rich and varied program: there are more than 70 courses offered in the Upper School, each at the highest level (Open/Academic/University or University/College Preparation).
In addition to the Ontario curriculum, we also offer courses that prepare students for 13 Advanced Placement (AP) credits. Students who do well on their AP examinations can earn university credits or placement into second year. Ninety per cent of our 2011-2012 graduation class has chosen to participate in the AP program.
