Centennial Strategic Plan

On behalf of Crescent School's Board of Governors I am very pleased to be able to share with you Crescent's Centennial Strategic Plan which will take us to our historic 100th year in 2013.

We believe that our last strategic plan, initiated in 2004, has served us well in solidifying our national reputation as a leader in the education of boys through artfully balancing superior academics with the critical elements of strong character development. We are building on these strengths; our Centennial Strategic Plan positions Crescent among the best schools for boys internationally.

Our collective vision for Crescent School, now and for the next 100 years, is one that celebrates the unique qualities of every boy, and strikes the right balance of academic excellence and character development. We are a school that embraces and celebrates courage, personal leadership and innovation, while at all times looking for opportunities both inside and outside the classroom to instil our core values of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Compassion. Crescent is proud to be a boys' school; we take seriously our responsibility of educating boys of promise. We know boys and understand how boys learn across all subjects, activities and interests.

Our Centennial Strategic Plan is aspirational; it builds on our strengths and focuses on what our grads will require to excel in the future. There are two core objectives - excellence in academics and excellence in character development - enabled and optimized by supporting objectives centred around strengthening and enhancing our invaluable resources of people, finances and facilities.

The success of our plan, and its many initiatives, will depend on the partnership and support of our entire community. We embark on a new adventure together ushering in our second century as a strong, united and vital Crescent community.
