Application Process

Thank you for your interest in Crescent School. Below you will find what you need to successfully apply to our school.
Applications are accepted every year from September 1 to December 1. Late applications are accepted; however, priority will be given to those who submitted prior to the deadline.

Applications are currently closed and will reopen on September 1 for the 2027/2028 academic year. The dates below reflect the application process for September 2026 entry. The dates for September 2027 will be updated this summer.

  • Applying to Grade 1

    Step 1:
    Complete the online application form. Your application will automatically save, so you may exit and return to it at any time. A confirmation webpage will appear after your application is submitted and payment is received. You will also receive a confirmation email. Please allow one business day for processing.

    Step 2:
    Once your application has been processed, you will have access to the application checklist. Please upload the following documents to your application checklist as soon as possible:
    • Final report card from June 2026, as well as the latest progress report or first term report from the current school year, when it becomes available
    • Passport or other government-issued photo identification
    • Teacher assessment form. Completed by a homeroom or core subject teacher from either the current or previous school year.

    Step 3: 
    • Primary Experience Crescent: A Visit for Grades 1 Families is a mandatory, in-person event for families and students applying to Grade 1. Families will sign up for one session on either January 7 or 8, 2027. Sign-up for this event will be available in December.

    Step 4:
    • You will be able to book your family interview through the link in your applicant checklist in December. All Grade 1 interviews will take place between January 18 to 29, 2027.
  • Applying to Grades 2–6

    Step 1:
    Complete the online application form. Your application will automatically save, so you may exit and return to it at any time. A confirmation webpage will appear after your application is submitted and payment is received. You will also receive a confirmation email. Please allow one business day for processing.

    Step 2:
    Once your application has been processed, you will have access to the application checklist. Please upload the following documents to your application checklist as soon as possible:
    • Final report cards from June 2025 and June 2026, as well as the latest progress report or first term report from the current school year, when it becomes available
    • Passport or other government-issued photo identification
    • Teacher assessment form. Completed by a homeroom or core subject teacher from either the current or previous school year.
    Step 3: 
    Interviews are by invitation only. Once applications have been reviewed, select candidates will be invited to interview. Families selected to move forward will receive an email with instructions for booking an interview no later than Friday, January 22, 2027. Interviews are scheduled throughout the admissions season and may take place at different times depending on the applicant's grade.
    Step 4:
    • (Grades 3–5) Experience Crescent Day is a mandatory, in-person event for those applying to Grades 3–5. We strongly recommend that it take precedence over any extracurricular commitments. Applicants will spend the morning or afternoon of Saturday, January 16, 2027, at Crescent School. For more information on this event, please visit our Admission Dates and Events page.
    • (Grades 2 & 6) Selected candidates will be invited to a half-day admissions visit in January in place of Experience Crescent.
  • Applying to Grade 7

    ​Step 1:
    Complete the online application form. Your application will automatically save, so you may exit and return to it at any time. A confirmation webpage will appear after your application is submitted and payment is received. You will also receive a confirmation email. Please allow one business day for processing.

    Step 2:
    Once your application has been processed, you will have access to the application checklist. Please upload the following documents to your application checklist as soon as possible:
    • Final report cards from June 2025 and June 2026, as well as the latest progress report or first term report from the current school year, when it becomes available
    • Passport or other government-issued photo identification
    • Teacher assessment form completed by a homeroom or core subject teacher from either the current or previous school year.
    Step 3:
    Candidates will be required to complete an in-person assessment that includes mathematics and literacy. The test is tailored to your child's age and will include multiple-choice and short-answer questions. No preparation is required. The registration details will be provided in October 2026.

    Step 4:
    Interviews for Grade 7 will be by invitation only. Once applications have been reviewed, select candidates will be invited to interview. Families selected to move forward will receive an email with instructions for booking an interview no later than Friday, January 22, 2027. Interviews take place anytime between October and January.

    Step 5:
    Experience Crescent Day is a mandatory, in-person event for all applicants to Grade 7. We strongly recommend that it take precedence over any extracurricular commitments.
